DOB per Amesbury VR; named in father's Will of 1756 as Executor of the Will and Lawrence appears to have given this son his whole estate in South Hampton. The census of 1776 shows an Ezra living in Epping and by 1790 living in Barnstead with 3 males over 16, 4 under 16 and 5 females.
Strafford County Registry of Deeds:
March 10 1810 (buyer) Berry, Joshua (seller) Ezra Straw et al - land in Barnstead per Deed bk 63 pg222
Census of 1810 shows Ezra living in Barnstead where he died. The sons could be Aaron (1769); John (1774) Lawrence b. 1777; Dudley 1786; Joseph 1789. The daughters could be Hannah b. 1771; Bette b 1773 ; Polly 1776
The names of his children (Samuel, and Polly) are tentative but probable.

March 2000: Have rec'd info from Susan Fraser taken from HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE BARNSTEAD FAMILIES FROM 1727 to 1970 by Stuart Merrill a local historian and cemetery restorer. He states the Ezra Straw family has 6 boys and 4 girls in the 1790 census but only names 4 of them: Ezra jr., Samuel , Joseph and Simon
Thomas S... married Mercy Chase Robinson the d/o Noah and Elizabeth Walker Osborn Chase.
In the 1850 census of Alton, NH there is a Thomas and wife Mercy living next door to Simon and wife Sarah Wilson Dudley and born c 1811
DOD and POD per Nina Liedtke
The death records of Samuel indicate his parents were: Ezra and Miriam
(research has shown the following from Genealogy Library on internet. Ezra Straw m. Molly Clough b. 6 March 1781 and had one son (Isaiah Clough Straw); she died Oct 20 1832; she was the d/o Isaiah Clough and Mary Chapman who is bur in Gilmanton, NH - per research of Sue Phaneuf he was a s/o Ezra Straw and Miriam Dudley Straw. Sue claims Ezra died in 1823 not 1826
In the 1850 census of Alton, NH he is age 73 and living in the HH of his son and d-i-l Simon Straw and Sarah Wilson Dudley.
(Research of R&D Peverley)"...they were at New Durham (Alton), NH in 1803 when their son (Simon Clough Straw) was born, but subsequently removed to Barnston, Stanstead County, Lower Canada or Compton, Compton County, Lower Canada and according to family tradition the homestead was located on the line between Barnston and Compton. They were in the states in 1811, when a son was born in Vermont (Ezra). They may have returned to Barnston as they are not found anywhere in the 1820 census. In the Gilmanton, NH 1830 Census: Lawrence Straw: one male 5 and under 10; one male 50 and under 60 (Lawrence) and one female 40 and under 50 (Judith). The child "5 and under 10" must be a son."
Lawrence appears on census 1830 along with Isaiah (possibly his son?)
Alt. Birth, 1778, NH.
